The calm before the storm, if you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes and it'll change, and so on...
Today is just that kind of a day at the Prairie Heritage Center, located along IA Highway 10 and near the Glacial Trail Scenic Byway between Peterson and Sutherland, Iowa. The sun is shining, the sky is cloud-free, there is little, if any, wind, the snow is melting, and the local radio station announced the current temperature is 42 Degrees. And if you live nearby, we’ve all heard the forecast for the next few days – rain, snow, and cold. The O’Brien County Conservation Board and the Little Sioux Valley Conservation Association is hoping that you can take a few minutes to enjoy the outdoors today whether it be a trip to the mail box, out to walk your four-legged friend, taking down the last of the outdoor holiday decorations, or just walking away from the computer to step outside your office door, if even for a minute or two.
